About Joel Vandenbrink

The former CEO and founder of Seattle Cider Company and Two Beers Brewing Company in Seattle, Washington, Joel Vandenbrink spent over a decade leading the two businesses before selling them to Agrial Co-op. Seattle Cider Company became the country’s fifth-largest craft cidery before being sold, and Two Beers Brewing Co., was ranked 13th on the brewery list by the Puget Sound Business Journal in 2016. Joel Vandenbrink was responsible for strategy development at both companies, and he handled personnel administrative functions such as hiring, transferring, and promoting.

Prior to entering the brewery business, Mr. Vandenbrink worked in varying sectors. For two years he was the lead painter for the Seattle-based Jon Dewaal Painting, where he was responsible for a crew of painters working on the exteriors and interiors of condos, houses, and office buildings. He also served as a sweets baker for the Great Harvest Bread Company and as a facilities manager for the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He was also a manufacturing engineer for Johnson Controls Interiors. These positions taught him such pertinent work-related skills as organizing meetings, managing teams, and overseeing capital projects.
